Am I charged when I give my credit card details? 

The credit card details are taken to secure the booking. No charge is taken off the card. 

What is your cancellation policy? 

If you cancel up to 48 hours before the date of arrival there will be no charge. After this time you will be charge the first night if we cannot re-let the room. 

What time is Check in / Check out? 

Checkout is 11am and check in is from 1 pm. 

Can luggage be left with the hotel? 

We are happy to take care of your luggage before check in and after check out.

Do you have a lift/elevator?

The Thanet is over 200 years old and cannot accommodate a lift/elevator. We are more than happy to help with your luggage. 

Do you have WiFi? 

We have free WIFI which can be picked up in our public areas and most of our bedrooms. 

What is your smoking policy? 

The Thanet is a totally non smoking establishment. 

Does the hotel have parking? 

We do not have any private parking. There is an NCP car park two minutes away which will give you a reduction in price if you present our hotel invoice to them. 

Do you have air conditioning? 

Due to the age of the hotel we are unable to install air conditioning. However, fans are provided in the rooms.
